Citi-Mortgage is testing a program in Florida that will give distressed homeowners six months to get their mortgage problems corrected but if they can’t Citi-Mortgage will take over the loan. If this program succeeds it could be expanded nationwide which would help Triangle area homeowners facing or in foreclosure who have only one mortgage and have it with Citi-Mortgage. That’s potentially a lot of homeowners.
